Karoline Leavitt DEFEATS fake news outlet in HUGE White House win

"The winning continues"

White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt sharply criticized the Associated Press on Tuesday after a federal judge in Washington, D.C., denied the outlet’s emergency request to regain its spot in the White House press pool. The ruling, a victory for the Trump administration, came amid ongoing tensions with the media.

“The winning continues,” Leavitt said in a statement. “Today, a federal judge right here in Washington, D.C., denied the Associated Press’ emergency request … to restore their privilege of returning to the White House press pool.” She argued that access to the press pool is a privilege, not a right, and accused the AP of failing to “acknowledge the truth.”

The decision follows the AP’s earlier exclusion from the press pool for failing to update their style guide with the term “Gulf of America” a move the Trump administration justified by pointing to their history of rapidly changing language to progressive terms, but which drew ire from press advocates. Leavitt’s remarks underscored the administration’s willingness to take a more hardline stance against certain media outlets.

Rachel Maddow LOSES it over Joy Reid firing, UNLOADS on her OWN network!

MSNBC host Rachel Maddow sharply criticized her own network Monday night for canceling Joy Reid’s show, “The ReidOut,” and other programs hosted by non-white anchors, calling the moves a “bad mistake” and “indefensible.”

During her broadcast, Maddow expressed dismay over Reid’s departure, saying, “I love everything about her. I have learned so much from her. … I do not want to lose her as a colleague here at MSNBC.” She highlighted the loss of diversity, noting, “It is also unnerving to see on a network where we’ve got two non-white hosts in primetime, both of our non-white hosts in primetime are losing their shows, as is Katie Phang on the weekend.”

The shakeup, led by new MSNBC President Rebecca Kutler, also axed shows hosted by Ayman Mohyeldin, Katie Phang, and Jonathan Capehart, following Reid’s exit after four years. Jen Psaki will replace Alex Wagner in the 9 p.m. slot Tuesday through Friday, while “The Weekend” co-hosts take over Reid’s 7 p.m. hour.

Maddow also slammed the network’s treatment of staff, saying producers are “being put through the wringer” and forced to reapply for jobs, a process she called inefficient and unnecessary. MSNBC declined to comment on her remarks.

Oprah Winfrey gets DRAGGED over resurfaced 2004 interview with the Olsen sisters

A 2004 interview featuring Oprah Winfrey questioning Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen about their size has resurfaced, sparking backlash online. The twins, then 17, appeared on "The Oprah Winfrey Show" amid rumors of Mary-Kate’s eating disorder, later confirmed as anorexia when she entered rehab that year.

In the clip, Winfrey asks, “What size are you, by the way?” after raising the eating disorder rumors, prompting visible discomfort from the Olsens. Ashley responds hesitantly with “Size?” while Mary-Kate explains they’ve always been “petite.” Winfrey, then 50, replies sarcastically, “Oh, that’s so interesting!” and adds, “I’m obsessed with size and you’re like, ‘I really don’t know!’” The audience laughed, but the twins’ unease was palpable.

Critics on social media slammed the exchange as insensitive, with one user posting, “How did they think that was okay?!” Another wrote, “Oprah continuously disrespecting and trying to trigger them.” The backlash contrasts with Winfrey’s later Weight Watchers role, highlighting a shift in public sensitivity since the interview aired.
